PRESS RELEASE

Under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Tunisia, and in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC) is organizing the 8th edition of the international conference “Financing Investment and Trade in Africa – FITA2025” on May 6–7, 2025, in Tunis.

This edition holds special significance as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the founding of TABC—a decade of unwavering commitment to fostering economic ties between Tunisia and the rest of the African continent.

Over the years, FITA has established itself as a premier pan-African platform, bringing together project developers, policymakers, financial institutions, and investors to forge transformative partnerships for Africa’s future.

Held under the theme “Driving Africa’s Transformation,” FITA2025 will spotlight the continent’s major challenges and key growth drivers, with a focus on industrial transformation, energy transition, digitalization, and the modernization of infrastructure and logistics—topics that align perfectly with Africa’s sustainable development priorities. Five countries will be honored through dedicated “Invest in” sessions: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, and Guinea-Conakry.

FITA2025 will host numerous high-profile personalities, including senior government officials, ministers, and leaders of international and regional institutions. Among the distinguished guests are H.E. Guylain NYEMBO MBWIZYA, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Development Aid Coordination of the DRC; H.E. Rasata RAFARAVAVITAFIKA, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar; and H.E. Bianca ODUMEGWU-OJUKWU, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria—alongside other influential figures from the public and private sectors, reflecting the event’s strategic and international scope.

This 8th edition will stand out for the richness of its program:

• 14 high-level panels

• 10 thematic side events

• 7 specialized workshops

• And a major new feature: FITA PITCH DAYS—an initiative dedicated to innovative project leaders who will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of international investors and financial institutions.

Over 2,000 participants from more than 60 countries are expected. The presence of several hundred foreign CEOs, African investment promotion agencies, and Tunisian economic operators from diverse sectors promises high-level exchanges and the forging of strategic partnerships.

A B2B and B2G space will be set up to facilitate targeted meetings. In addition, a digital matchmaking platform will be available from April 14, 2025, allowing registered participants to efficiently schedule professional appointments.

FITA2025 is set to be a key event for accelerating Africa’s transformation by bringing together talent, vision, and opportunity in an environment conducive to building lasting partnerships.

TABC invites all economic, institutional, and media stakeholders to take part in this  event and join in shaping the Africa of tomorrow.
