He was addressing his staff as they all converged on the conference Centre last May 1, 2026 to take part in a traditional meal offered by the General Manager, Okie Johnson Ndoh and Deputy GM, Obam Oli Diane Valarie.
He added that ‘‘we have created a spiritual climate in this house. We have a prayer cell. There are 12 of them. All the denominations, the Muslims, the Protestants, the Catholics, all together we pray on a daily basis here. All of these decisions are to consolidate peace and living together in our institution. We organise also inter-religious services. We do that about twice or thrice every year, where you have the priest, the pastor, and the imam who can preach to us, to give us values, to inculcate values on us, on what it means to run a state corporation.’’
After taking part at the official march past ceremony at the May 20th Boulevard in Yaounde where the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Grégoire Owona chaired the 140th International Labour Day this year, the staff of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilization Fund better known by its French acronym CSPH all converged on the conference room .
While celebrating his staff for their performance, Okie Johnson Ndoh tasked his immediate collaborators to use the staff put at their disposal as demonstrated earlier in a sketch on the occasion.
He expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for his choice as General Coordinator of the Pope’s visit to Cameroon and revealed that Pope Leo XIV blessed CSPH and his entire staff.
The GM stressed that ‘‘I place the 282 staff of CSPH at the Centre of all my decisions. We have chosen a managerial approach to listening, respecting, accountability, discipline etc.’’
Okie Johnson Ndoh and Deputy GM Obam Oli Diane Valerie expressed gratitude to the Head of State, President Paul Biya for his constant support and promised to always work harder to regulate petroleum prices so that the Presidential Couple can always sleep in peace.
During the occasion, Zeguele Christophe, Wasiri, Ngalame Ngome Franklin, Madam Akame, Aboudi Eyebe Franck received recognition from CSPH for putting up exceptional services to the institution.
In a chat with reporters, Okie Johnson Ndoh explained that « it has shown us that we’ve gone above 80% of what is expected of an institution. What progress has been made in increasing employees’ working conditions? Salary wise, we’ve been able within this period to have doubled the salaries of what we met, doubled the salary of what they were getting to meet up with the present standard of the institution. And in other remunerations, attached remunerations to the services, we make sure that they benefit. Socially, we’ve been able to create a team spirit, the one spirit that everybody feels together. They live together in the team spirit.’’
The GM added that ‘‘we’ve encouraged sports and today within the petroleum sector, we’ve been able to take the first champion cup, we’ve won the super cup, we’ve won the volleyball, the basketball, the tennis. We’ve won all these, all these come to govern us, to bring our workers together within these sports activities to make them know that they are one. Still within the social aspect, we have a powerful woman team. They call it the golden team. And this golden team has gone beyond what we expected. They’ve gone into humanitarian and charitable activities. They’ve touched a lot of social activities of people distressed. And all these activities have been able to bring our families together to know that life doesn’t end where we are.’’
He disclosed that ‘‘we’ve been able recently to acquire a new building in addition to our head office which was built to accommodate at most 160 people and this new building is made possible now for us to help put our workers in a much more comfortable working environment. That you have everything you need. Not to talk of the working environment and working tools. we rejoice with colleagues who loses relatives and we are always there. We go right up to the burial to comfort the concerned. When there are births, we go there to celebrate with the family for the new birth.’
